The 3rd annual Dale Hollow Lake Poker Run is about having fun on and around Dale Hollow Lake. DETAILS WILL BE ADDED AT A LATER DATE. Each participant navigates the lake by boat, jet ski, or other watercraft or the beautiful TN and KY roadways around the lake by motorcycle, automobile, or other transportation stopping at 8 marinas along the route to choose a single playing card (for each hand being played. YES, you can play multiple hands at one time!) at each designated marina. The Dale Hollow Poker Run is planned as a family event that is played out over 10 days or less if you choose. Players can complete their poker hand in one day, a weekend, or the entire week. Participants may start at any of the 8 participating marinas as described on www.DaleHollowLakePokerRun.com and choose their own direction and timing. You will pick up your registration materials at your first stop along with your first card. The Poker Run is not a race, and there are no prizes for speed. We want this to be a safe, fun, family poker run. The poker run is open to everyone, 18 years and over. Participate by boat, motorcycle, or auto (by land or by sea so to speak) your choice. The route by water covers several beautiful miles of pristine Dale Hollow Lake waters. The most direct routes by land cover some of the most beautiful highways along mostly winding rural roads....perfect for motorcycle riding! Hwy. 52 (a portion of the route) has been compared by some to the famous "Tail of the Dragon" in North Carolina. The Dale Hollow Lake Poker Run route has over 1,000 curves, lots of dips and hills, plenty of pastoral scenery and many, many little shops, diners, and other destinations sure to make this an exquisite event! There are several parks, historical sites and museums on and near the route as well. Great variety abounds, there is sure to be something for most everyone to enjoy. The Dale Hollow Lake Poker Run committee will communicate the activities as they become available through the website. The fee is $50/hand to register prior to the beginning of the event ($60/hand during the event) + a 3% handling fee if paying by credit card. In return you will be receiving your official Dale Hollow Lake Poker Run Registration materials at the time of check in which will include everything you need to locate the various destinations along the route, plus your official DHL Poker Run wristband.
